Greene Giving (Committee Advised Partnership)
University Association of El Salvador has teamed up with Greene Giving - the community charitable foundation of Greene County, Ohio - to provide donors to University Association of El Salvador with a charitable tax benefit and to minimize the operating expenses of University Association. By teaming with Greene Giving, University Association of El Salvador is released from creating and maintaining its own charitable status under federal tax law, while preserving the management integrity insured by the same. The American Society (San Salvador, El Salvador)
Each year the Women and Youth in Development (WYD) Committee of Peace Corps volunteers in El Salvador teams up with the American Society of El Salvador to award between 15-30 high school scholarships to youth who might not otherwise have the resources to attend high school. Current University Association scholar Marisol Lopez was a WYD/American Society scholarship recipient. Going forward, Fundación Universitaria will select one WYD/American Society scholarship graduate per year to receive a full scholarship to a Salvadoran University.
